We would like to introduce you to the wonderful region of Yamasà, an hour’s drive north of the capital city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. There is no ocean, swimming pool or golf course in this place, just warm hearted Dominicans who have developed wonderful relationships with a group of Canadians who call themselves Friends for Life International.

Yamasà, a rural agricultural community is home to many impoverished Dominicans and many Haitians who’s families crossed the border looking for a better life in the sugar cane industry. Please visit the various pages on our website to learn about the various programs we offer in the region.
